My maternal grandmother lived with us for five years. She was a quasi alcoholic and could get drunker than a thousand Indians if she wanted to. daddy was supposed to "dry her out", but he wasn't having much success. Especially since her daughter was drunk everyday before noon. Anyway, grandma wore Directoire knickers that cover her stocking tops and came down her thighs to about four inches above the knees.
